Letter from Tacoma #51: October 17, 2016

  Hey family!!!!!!!! Ugh! So much rain! It just never stopped this whole week! The weather was basically the talk  of  the town the whole week. During P-Day, we had people preparing for some "Huge storm this weekend, and it's gonna be bad!" So, we were a bit on edge for the weather that was apparently coming... which it did, but it definitely wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. Monday: P-Day! Nothing out  of  the ordinary, though what we had planned to do that afternoon, play some games with a member family, the Chisms, had to be cancelled because Bro. Chism was sick. But we've rescheduled to play with them today after we get done emailing. That evening, we went to the Gerou's for FHE, and they had this super old FHE video  from  the church for the VCR. I've definitely never seen it before, but it was entertaining and spiritually uplifting. One  of  my favorite things  from  it was a little animation explaining the creation...

Letter from Tacoma #62: January 2, 2017

Hey Everybody! I'm finally  in  the new area... well, technically it's two areas. We cover both the Silverdale 1st and Brownsville wards. It's made work a bit interesting as I'm trying to figure out which investigators and members are  from  which wards. Oh yeah, and it's still freezing cold up here. Hopefully it goes away by the time February comes. 'Till then I'll just have to bundle up. Monday: I packed up all  of  my stuff  in  Ocean Shores, made all the preparations for transfers, and sent off the package home with the stuff I don't need right now. By the way, has that package arrived yet? I hope it didn't get lost  in  the mail. That would stink if it did! Tuesday: Transfer Day! We left at about 10 to drive to Olympia to meet up with other missionaries going to Tacoma for transfers. Letter from Tacoma #44: August 29, 2016.

 Hey everybody! Sorry about emailing two days late, but then again, if you read my last letter you would have seen this coming. So, last Monday, we had visit  from  Elder Uceda  of  the Seventy coming  for  a visit to the mission. The meeting we had  with  him started  at  7:45 that morning  in  Tacoma, though that time was a bit  of  a problem  for  my companion and me; The drive  from  Ocean Shores to Tacoma takes about two and a half hours, so we had to wake up  at  5 that morning to make the long drive. Also, since my last companion was transferred out, that means I'm the designated driver now. So... that was fun, though I was exhausted by the time we drove back into Ocean Shores  at  4:00 that afternoon. But the training we received  from  Elder Uceda was great.
