Letter from Tacoma #33: June 13, 2016

 Hey Everybody!

It's great to see so many emails in my inbox today. I got to hear a lot about what's going on back home! Honestly, it's nice to hear even the small things, like Kyler playing on drums, or how the kids are watching Avatar (which is one of the best t.v. shows EVAR!!!)

It also reminds me how much everything will be changed by the time I return home in 2017. It's mind-boggling!

Dude, Eric, I like your apartment! It looks great!

And hey, shout-out to Benni. I'll be sure to keep you on my list I email to.

But yeah, this week was pretty average. Talk to some people over here, hand out a Book of Mormon over there. Actually, it turns out in my area there's and intersection with three roads called Thisa Way, Thata Way, and Nowhere Ln. Elder Jensen and I plan on stopping by there soon and seeing if we can take a picture at the roadsign there. XD

This week is actually going to be a super busy one. Tonight we're going to be having a mini-exchange with Cowlitz Falls missionaries, so they can stay the night and save miles for the trip to tomorrow's activities. Tuesday, we're driving all the way up to Belfair, a two hour drive, to Camp Helaman, or otherwise known as Zion's Camp. I don't know much about what we're doing, other than the fact there's going to be an obstacle course, a small devotional afterwards, and also that we have to be there at 8:45 AM... Yay, long, early-morning drives. But it sounds like it's going to be fun! That'll be going on the whole day.

Then Wednesday, Elder Jensen and I are going to Centrailia on exchanges with the Zone Leaders, which should be fun. And then the day after we'll be driving back to our area and have Weekly Planning... Although, this Thursday was supposed to be Park Day, which means we were going to leave the car in park all day to save miles. But since the ZL's wanted to do an exchange with us, they had us have our Park Day last Thursday.

So last Thursday, we didn't have a car, and it began raining. Thankfully we were able to get rides with members for most of the day after Weekly Planning, but the last two hours of work we had to bike around. I'm not kidding you when I say my pants were absolutely soaked within the first minute. I swear, I will never see a Park Day that isn't rained on. The ironic part is the fact that this Thursday when park day was originally planned is supposedly going to be sunny and devoid of rain... thanks, ZL's.

But to end off the rest of the week, Friday and Saturday, the town of Winlock in our area is having its annual Egg Days festival. It's basically like any other Summer Celebrations back home, but centered around the theme of eggs and chickens. I hear there'll be free egg-salad sandwiches! Elder Jensen and I will be helping out with the festival in the afternoon, manning a family history booth for both days. Let's see how it goes. We may just find some new investigators that way.

So that's basically my upcoming week. I'll let you all know how it goes and share any fun stories that come from it.

Pictures! (Thanks for the SD Card Reader, Dad! It works perfectly!)

1.) Me and Elder Jensen at Zone Meeting (Ignore the sisters in background😝)

2.) This area is great for scenic views. They're everywhere!

3.) Typical sight in Farmville, Tractors forcing us to go British on the road. 😆🚜

I love you all!

Thanks for reading,
