 HEEEEEy EEverYYbOOOdy...

On that note, it's great to hear the cruise was a blast and everyone had fun, even if it seemed Dad got the short stick a few times. It still looked fun, and I kind of miss being able to swim or be on the water. Oh, well. At this rate, the time I have left will be gone before I know it.

Today marks the start of a new transfer for me. But I'll be staying here in Mountain View for another six weeks with Elder Jensen. Neither of us are going anywhere, so that's great. Since my trainer, Elder Hansen, is flying home tomorrow (ohmygosh, where'dthepastsevenmonthsgo!Idon'tevenknow!), that leaves Jensen as my favorite companion still in the mission. So, Yay!

Anyways, I'm excited to be out here for longer than my past areas, both because I love the people and the area out here, but also because I don't have nearly enough pictures of this place yet... So you know how I mentioned last week that my SD Card reader wasn't working right? Well, that's because it's been beaten up so bad that it actually corrupted my camera's SD Card and wiped all of my pictures from it! Every single picture I had from the time I left home to two weeks ago are gone! Seven months of pictures! Talk about a staggering blow!

But at least all the most important ones I've saved through emailing home, and I also printed out a few of them for my photo album. But other than those, I'm just gonna have to start taking more pictures, starting with out here. And I'm not too heartbroken about that happening. I've kept a good enough journal thus far to help preserve the memories I have out here. Remember, the prophets have counseled us to keep records, and this is one of the reasons why: Faulty SD Card readers!

I'm emailing a day later because of Memorial Day, but not because the libraries were closed (We usually email in the Family History Center at the Stake Center). Yesterday, we didn't have enough time to email before heading up to Olympia for a missionary picnic! We had missionaries from Olympia, Lacey, Centralia, and Elma Stakes, and we all had lunch, fun sports, and a big water balloon fight at the end. I think Sister Blatter will have pictures of that up on the blog I had linked in my last letter, so you should be able to see what went down there. It was a blast!

Not to mention, since I'm not transferring, I wouldn't have normally been able to say goodbye to Elder Hansen, my trainer, before he leaves. But because he was serving in Olympia, he was at the picnic, too. So, there's another tender mercy! He's excited to go home... though half of that is mostly for a girl waiting for him.

Speaking of girls, good going, Ryan! Congratulations on the proposal, and even more so for the acceptance! Now I might not have much say because of how fast time goes by on a mission, but I'd say you got engaged quick there. I hope everything works out and I'll save the date for... August was it? I'm gonna have to look back at Mom's email again.

Anyways, not much else has happened, except for a ton of service for members this week. I've been helping build chicken wire fences, put bird nets over blueberry bushes, and tearing up concrete from a walkway. I think I'll be a bit of a handyman by the time I leave this area.😁😎 But unfortunately, we've been having little luck with investigators. With an area this big, it's hard to see people we're teaching regularly, and even harder to find people to teach, but I'm hoping this new transfer will had greater strength and spirit to the work here.

But more on a spiritual, lately I've been finding Mosiah to be my favorite in the Book of Mormon. I don't have enough time to tell specifically my favorite parts, but I love sharing from Mosiah 24. Read up on it and try to see why I like it. Let your guess be guided by the spirit.

Anyways, I love you all.
Those look like some sick battle scars, Brandon!

Thanks for reading,
Elder R. Austin Moe
